Workout
In a non-stressful and personalized workout routine, the client works
towards improving overall physical well-being and performance.   
This is achieved by gaining a deeper understanding of the bond
between body and mind through correct posture and breathing.

Unlike other exercise programs, the Pilates Method does not require
mindless repetition of boring exercises that most people tire of
quickly and subsequently abandon.  The method consists of a
sequence of carefully performed movements; some carried out on
specifically designed equipment.

Each exercise is designed to stretch and strengthen the muscles
involved, opening the joints and releasing tension.  There is a    
specific breathing pattern for each exercise to assist in directing
energy to those areas while relaxing the rest of the body.
The Pilates Method is centered around the abdomen, or
core, strengthening the muscles in the back, hips, and
stomach to support the spine.  The method works the
deepest layers of the abdominal muscles (as opposed  
to the outer, more visible layer), which helps build a
girdle for the spine.

What also makes the Pilates exercise technique unique
amongst similar forms of exercise is that it actually slims
the muscles making them more compact by developing
slenderness rather than bulk.  The outcome is a
balanced body which is strong and supple with a flat
stomach, balanced legs and a strong back.
Training begins with four private one-on-one sessions.  At
this time, you instructor will determine the appropriate
exercises for you.  During these private sessions, you will
learn the placement, rhythm, and breathing patterns for
each exercise while we continue to design your
Conditioning Program.

We recommend a minimum of two sessions per
week to develop and maintain a well-tempered body.
